## Current verified snapshot — checked 2 October 2026

There is useful official evidence of **sea-access provision at Polis/Latchi municipal beaches** , but no physical Love Akamas accessibility audit behind this topic. An installed device or an “accessible” label does not verify the whole journey from parking or bus stop to the water.

This is a published-source check, **not physical Love Akamas field verification**.

## What we currently know

| Place | What the source actually supports | What it does not establish |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Polis Municipal Beach | Visit Cyprus describes a special chair with lifeguard assistance and a Seatrac installation. | Today’s operation, availability of staff, path condition, toilet dimensions or suitability for your chair. |
| Municipal Beach of Latchi | Municipality describes a system for access to the sea. | Exactly which beach section/entrance, service dates, equipment operation or an uninterrupted step-free route. |
| Baths of Aphrodite | Official pages describe the grotto and garden. | A checked step-free path to the grotto or accessible toilet. |
| Latchi boat trips | Operators describe different boats/products. | Accessible boarding, transfer assistance, onboard toilet access or safe reboarding for every passenger. |

### Questions that produce a useful answer

Ask the responsible operator/authority for the **exact entrance or boarding point** and whether equipment is operational on your date. Explain your actual requirements: chair type, walking/transfer needs and assistance. Ask about surfaces, gradients, steps, narrow points, gate widths and toilets. Request measurements or recent photographs where a vague “yes, accessible” will not answer the question.

For a bus, confirm the individual service/vehicle and stop access. For a boat, distinguish getting aboard from moving around the boat and using its facilities. For a beach, distinguish reaching the sand from reaching the water and returning.

Our planning recommendation is to confirm essential arrangements before travelling and keep an alternative destination. We are not recommending the named hill trails as wheelchair routes: difficulty grades are not accessibility certification.

## What remains uncertain / needs field checking

Current operation and precise location of equipment, connected paths, accessible parking/toilets, gradients and staff support need direct confirmation or measurement. Official descriptions are source evidence; none is a full contemporary access assessment.

## Add newer first-hand evidence

Please provide date, exact route from arrival to destination, surface/steps, measurements where possible and photos without identifying other visitors. Say what equipment or assistance you used so another person can judge whether the same arrangement meets their needs.
