Current verified snapshot — source checked 2 October 2026
Visit Cyprus publishes a 7.5 km circular Adonis route, 3–4 hours, difficulty 3. These are published route specifications, not confirmation of today’s opening or surface. No physical Love Akamas inspection was performed for this update.
What we currently know
- The webpage places the starting point 400 m before the Baths of Aphrodite. It says the loop includes about 400 m on the Baths–Polis road. Allow for that road section when planning, especially with children.
- The route connects with Aphrodite at Pyrgos tis Rigainas and Smigies at Kefalovrysia. Joining a different trail can change where you finish; use a map and the signs.
- The webpage calls the Kefalovrysia fountain non-potable. Carry drinking water.

Visit Cyprus — Adonis
Official hiking brochure — its Adonis section describes an uphill rocky shared section with Aphrodite, but differs from the webpage on difficulty and drinking water. We use the webpage’s attributed figures and do not certify spring water.

Uncertain / needs field checking
Current closures, junction signs, erosion, fountain flow and the road section have not been checked on site. The source discrepancies need department clarification. Our planning advice is to carry water, suitable footwear and a route map, check current notices, and obey closure signs.
Contribute newer first-hand evidence
Please report date, exact section, signs and observed conditions; photographs of junctions or restrictions are useful. Do not label the entire loop open based on walking only its shared opening section.
