Aphrodite Trail: route facts, water and current-condition checks

Current verified snapshot — source checked 2 October 2026

Visit Cyprus publishes the route details below. A tourism listing is not confirmation that the trail is open or safe today. This is an official-source desk check, not a physical Love Akamas inspection.

What we currently know

  • Circular route from Baths of Aphrodite: 7.5 km, estimated 3–4 hours, webpage difficulty 3.
  • Passes Pyrgos tis Rigainas and connects with Adonis. Check signed junctions and carry a route map.
  • The webpage describes two fountains as non-potable. Bring your own drinking water.

Official hiking brochure, Aphrodite section. Its difficulty, duration and drinking-water claims differ from the webpage. Figures above are attributed to the webpage; we do not certify spring water as drinkable.

Uncertain / needs field checking

Today’s opening status, surface, erosion, signs and fountain operation remain unverified. Check current Forestry notices and on-site signs; obey closures. The department also needs to clarify the conflicting source details.

Contribute newer first-hand evidence

Please add your visit date, exact section or junction, conditions observed and photographs of signs. Separate what you saw from what you were told. We will revise this snapshot when stronger evidence arrives.
